About the role:


This role is perfect for someone who is seeking to join a team of driven and entrepreneurial professionals in the mortgage industry, wants to work closely with senior management and build on their skill set.

This is a hybrid position, based anywhere in GTA, Ontario.

Your day to day will include:

  • Ensure pre and post-advance reviews are conducted regularly as required in an efficient and objective manner. Focus will be on identifying and assessing risk as it pertains to Credit, Compliance, Fraud Prevention and Detection and AML.
  • Provide guidance, recommendation and reporting to Management, Underwriting staff and related stakeholders on credit issues, findings, and trends.
  • Assist in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing external audit files.
  • When required, review serious delinquent accounts, and provide a summary of findings.
  • Provide ongoing feedback on relevant policies and processes, particularly as it relates to clarifying underwriting practices and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal presentations related to Quality Assurance initiatives and monthly reporting on QA results including analysis, loan characteristics and trends.
  • Assist with other responsibilities and special projects, as assigned.
  • Ensure you complete training and comply with confidentiality and regulatory requirements
  • Act at all times in accordance with Strive's risk appetite as defined by the RMUP
  • Maintain employee, customer and partner confidentiality as described by Strive's Employee Handbook

You will bring:


  • Previous Quality Assurance and regulatory experience in the Mortgage lending industry
  • Minimum 5 years Mortgage Lending Adjudication experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage operations, and credit policies, including credit principles, practices, processes, products, and services.
  • Ability to organize, manage workflow deadlines in an environment with high volumes with tight turnaround times.
  • Welldeveloped communication and interactive skills, verbal and written, sufficient to provide clear and detailed explanation and interpretation of information, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Selfdriven, and motivated with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a highly entrepreneurial startup environment.
  • Proficient in Word, and Excel skills and knowledge of PC software tools in a Windows environment.
