Managing Consultant/Full 360 Executive Recruiter with Business development exp with retained searches.

This opportunity is a hybrid role based in Calgary supporting our Industrial Professional Search practice.

The Role:


We are currently seeking a Managing Consultant-true business development and execution leader in our Industrial practice in our Canada Professional Search market.

You will be responsible for managing the full life-cycle recruitment process for designated Market clients. This is a high-profile role working in collaboration with our other Professional Search and Executive Search colleagues.


Key Responsibilities
The Managing Consultant will play a leading role and be responsible for executing in several core areas in our talent agenda, including:

  • Work with hiring managers to scope search project by obtaining information that clearly defines the specifics of the job including the responsibilities, requirements, compensation, company culture, etc.
  • Manage recruitment lifecycle from search kickoff through closure to ensure "time to fill" goals are achieved.
  • Develop, drive and manage strong business relationships with clients to ensure successful placements and guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Drive new business with existing customers and prospects and develop relationships with Korn/Ferry Executive Search by working with them to grow business with key customer accounts.
  • Responsible for identifying and leveraging new recruitment sources.
  • Provide project updates to management, client contacts and stakeholders and escalate issues in a timely fashion.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Deep understanding of the Industrial industry with experience managing Directorlevel and above searches while partnering with Executive Search on referrals.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to quickly learn about different business environments and cultures by asking the right questions.
  • Consultative mindset and ability to anticipate client needs.
  • Exceptional customer service focus, including attention to producing quality results.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Ability to multitask and manage various recruitment projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Selfinitiative along with the ability to respond quickly to client requests.
  • Ability to be an effective team member and, as needed, to handle project leadership responsibility.
  • Willing and able to adapt to new processes and effectively deal with change.
  • PC proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel and Outlook.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Must have retained or contained search experience in our Industrial sector with either mining and materials, manufacturing, agriculture, energy or diversified industrial leadership searches.
