Digital Communications Manager
The Canadian Music Therapy Fund (CMTF) is a national charity whose mission is to promote, develop, and support music therapy across the country.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Digital Communications Manager is responsible for communicating and maintaining the charity's image, brand and values.
This position is a contract for 15hrs/week.
Pay scale:
$20-30/hr depending on experience
6-month contract with possibility of extending

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead content research
- Analyze social media content
- Expand social media reach and engagement
- Design posts for all social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- Copywriting for social media, website, newsletter
- Design newsletters, ads and decks
- Design graphics, logos and event banners
- Develop, manage and maintain website
- Lead all video production, content production, content editing and posting on the website and social media
- Other duties
Education and Experience
- Postsecondary education in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Experience working in charitable organizations
- Experience working with a variety of social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linkedin
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of the profession of music therapy and the Canadian Association of Music Therapists
- Shares new ideas and challenges the status quo
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail and an eye for design and aesthetics
- Comfortable using Illustrator, Premier Pro (or other video editing software), InDesign and Photoshop
- Photography, videography and editing skills are an asset
- Experience with website design
- Comfortable with paid social media marketing (Facebook & Instagram)
