**Job Duties: - Storyboard Artists illustrate the narrative, plan shots, and draw panels to demonstrate action and maintain continuity between scenes.

  • They work closely with the Director and, possibly, with the scriptwriter, Producer, client or Storyboard Supervisor, to visualize and tell the story.
  • The Storyboard Artist is required to prepare the storyboards for production, including indications of dialogue, character performance and camera moves, and could be asked to produce their work either as rough or cleanedup drawings.
  • Ensure that the production for which he/she is responsible is completed on time
  • Ensure the production meets the standard of quality set by the Production
  • Consult with Storyboard Supervisor/Series Director as to the technical feasibility of elements in the script and suggest creative solutions that will maintain the vision of the series
  • Study scripts to determine artistic interpretation and design boards in conjunction with the Series Director/Storyboard Supervisor
  • Communicate ideas effectively and recommend solutions to help interpret the script visually
  • Consult with Series Director/ Storyboard Supervisor to approve the final storyboard panels and make revisions as needed
  • Maximize the reuse of assets with minor changes
  • Overall, be aware of the series/show's continuity
  • Mentor new storyboard artists who are placed on the team
  • Actively participate in productionrelated meetings by offering thoughts and ideas
  • Assist with and complete productionrelated assignments
  • Keep current on storyboarding techniques and technology
  • Carry out duties in a professional and positive manner
