    Your Opportunity:

    Reporting to the Director, the Manager provides direction, leadership, and organization for initiatives and programs within the Diagnostic Imaging department. Experience with senior management priorities and an understanding of stakeholder needs, this position delineates high level strategies and frameworks into planning clinical initiatives that meet operational needs for the Rockyview General Hospital Portfolio, which includes Rockyview General Hospital , Airdrie Community Health Center, Cochrane Community Health Centre, Sheldon M Chumir Health Center, Okotoks Health and Wellness Centre and Oilfields General Hospital. The Manager participates in the development, implementation, & evaluation of Provincial Diagnostic Imaging business plans and priorities in consultation with the Director and through effective partnerships and collaboration within AHS and stakeholders. The Manager ensures objectives translate to work plans with defined timelines, key deliverables that are comprehensive and transformational with on-going processes for operational sustainability for our growing community.

    Description:

    The Diagnostic Imaging Manager is accountable for the integrated day-to-day business operations of the Diagnostic Imaging Department of the Rockyview General Hospital and Cochrane Community Health Center. The Manager is responsible for strategic planning for all the services areas for the site, including identifying and responding to site and operational needs, and holds a strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Manager position is responsible to promote and maintain a healthy work environment; demonstrate leadership skills with human resource functions including recruitment, coaching, clinical supervision, scheduling, performance appraisal and management within a unionized environment. The successful incumbent will have a strong track record of establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with physicians, health care providers and leaders in other program areas. Proficiency as a consistent role model of AHS values is expected, along with the ability to balance multiple competing demands and conflicting priorities. The individual will have excellent analytical and decision-making skills, based on a framework of patient and family centered care, safety, and quality improvement. As an effective facilitator of proven change management principles within teams, the individual will also demonstrate an ability to motivate others to achieve organizational goals.
