IT Operations Manager
REPORTS TO:
Vice President of IT

Vancouver, BC

The main challenge is to ensure collaboration with other department heads and provide enterprise-wide direction in areas of policy and planning for the network and cybersecurity-related functions.

_Knowledge & skills_
- You implement and maintain infrastructure, security measures, systems, controls, and policies to mitigate risks and protect company assets, systems, and intellectual property
- You research, evaluate, and recommend IT architecture to meet both IT and Organizational needs
- You ensure the infrastructure supports all business requirements
- You ensure high availability of all IT infrastructure
- You drive continuous improvement and best practice administration of key assigned IT infrastructure areas
- You unify vision and lifecycle management for IT project development and deployment
_Experience_
- Data, networking, and security skills
- Voice, telephony, video conferencing knowledge
- Knowledge of common information security management frameworks
- VPN / remote connectivity
- Project Management
- Disaster recovery (including DRP planning and testing)
- Deep knowledge and understanding of systems and network architecture
- Competency in managing a complex company environment including Windows Server, SANs, VMWare, Windows, Office 365, VLANs, multinode WAN
- Working understanding of code and scripting
- Demonstrated integrity
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience
_Nice-to-Have _
- Experience with SaaS and Cloud business solutions
- Knowledge of Linux
- Bilingual: French

OTHER:
_
- Afterhours work is required in this role to support multiprovincial needs
- Afterhours support is required for ongoing system maintenance across Canada as well as crisis management
OTHER things you will do
- You will drive the maturity of enterprise network and cyber security architecture (onprem and cloud) within the organization and be a key contributor to the target enterprise architecture
- You establish architectural standards to support business teams in building robust, maintainable and reusable technology tools
- You assist in largerscale projects where and when appropriate (ERP, EDI, etc.)
- You are responsible for enterprise networking and security management including monitoring, performance, and upgrades
- You are responsible for evaluating security trends, evolving threats, risks, and vulnerabilities and remediating
- You will develop and execute a cyber security & awareness program
- You must be flexible for afterhours calls for critical support situations or projects
- You may be required to travel across Canada on an infrequent adhoc basis
- You will establish architectural standards to support business teams in building robust, maintainable and reusable architectures
- You will drive the investigation and adoption of new and emerging technologies, software delivery practices, architectures, and tools
- You will work with other IT team specialists in areas of enduser support, ERP, and systems support
- You must be flexible for after hours calls for critical support situations or projects

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
