About the Hotel The Courtyard by Marriott Kingston is a 128-room hotel, owned and operated by Easton's Group of Hotels. Located just off of the 401 hwy, it features 2 meeting rooms, the Bistro restaurant and a pool with a 100-ft water slide.

Courtyard by Marriott Kingston is looking for someone who is friendly and hospitality-focused to join our Bistro restaurant team as a Cook

What will you be doing?

Preparing meals per portion and quality standards specified in recipes. Controlling food for respective section(s) usage to minimize waste.
Reporting to the supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions.
Maintaining sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area that meet or exceed the provincial and local Health Board inspection and hotel requirements.
Promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
Performing functions with mínimal supervision.

What are the requirements for this role?

Basic reading, writing and math abilities.
High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years of experience in food preparation, or equivalent combination of education and food preparation experience.
May be required to work days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Strong communication skills
Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by a local or provincial government agency.
