1 FORKLIFT DRIVERS needed. Must have Raymond Reach license

Core Purpose and Essence of the Position:

The Material Handler is responsible for operating a Forklift Truck in a warehouse and is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the truck inclusive of care and maintenance.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
  • Assemble various types of merchandise for shipment.
  • Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment. Stencil, tag, or mark orders as requested.
  • Repack and weigh any orders that require such handling when necessary.
  • Report quality variances. Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
  • Perform daily inspection of machinery prior to use. Record results of inspection as outlined and report any malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Ensure forklifts are scheduled for preventative maintenance on a regular basis.
  • Conduct physical inventories as required.
  • Safety, Sanitation, Security: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
  • Comply with the organizations environmental, health & safety, recycling, sustainability efforts and quality assurance policies and standards.
  • Rotate stock according to date coding.
  • Participate in companysponsored training relating to material handling, safety and quality.
  • Operate Radio Frequency (RF) equipment (training will be provided)
  • Perform any other duties as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:


  • Forklift License: Raymond Reach
  • Proficiency in the English language and written
  • Good communication skill
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Consistent, Responsible and Dependable.
  • Flexibility in working various shifts during Promotion
  • Willingness to learn and broaden job Function knowledge

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


  • High school diploma
  • The ability to lift up to 3060 pounds
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a Warehouse environment

COMPENSATION:

Competitive base salary for the position in the Greater Toronto Area with a very generous benefit package.
