CRITERIA FOR AN INTERVIEW ARE AS FOLLOWS:

  • Three-year College Diploma in Business Administration, Finance or Material Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of related experience in a complex public purchasing and/or accounting environment
  • Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) designation and/or Certified Purchasing Card Professional (CPCP)
  • Experience with data analysis and research
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and advance level computer skills in spreadsheets and computerized financial/purchasing systems
  • Strong personal and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Knowledge of SAP Materials Management Module an asset

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Reporting to and under the direction of the Manager of Procurement, the Supply Chain Analyst will develop data reporting and financial analysis in identifying cost savings opportunities and streamlining processes.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


  • Research best buying practices and recommend innovative approaches to the acquisition of goods and services
  • Evaluate and monitor vendor performance system/vendor score card to identify cost savings opportunities
  • Review and oversee the procure to pay process of all card programs
  • Evaluate the Pcard process and recommend changes to optimize the effectiveness of the card and rebate programs
  • Develop metrics program to report Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and statistical reporting
  • Analyze transactions, data, and reports to ensure compliance to policies and procedures
  • Analyze reports on spending trends, leading to recommendations on future program improvements
  • Provide functional expertise in investigating system issues and processes and recommending changes
  • Analyze SAP purchasing/financial data to inform system contract needs for the organization
  • Analyze purchasing data of existing system contracts to determine utilization, compliance and necessary changes to contracts
  • Analyze and inform contract process for cost savings
  • Proactively solicit supply trend data from business sources and prepare analysis
  • Tender/Purchase approvals for up to $5,000.00
  • Requesting/assigning staff to perform MIGO/reverse MIGO and authorizing as required
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned
