    Description
    Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

    • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve equipment failures as well as perform periodic inspections of equipment and systems
    • Perform mechanical repair & maintenance activities throughout the plant on equipment and facilities.
    • Motors, hydraulics & pneumatic systems, bearings & gearboxes. Water heating and cooling systems. Reading blueprints and schematics. Equipment installations & rigging.
    • Welding & fabrication.
    • Utilize Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement to maximize equipment output and processes
    • Execute preventative maintenance activities including troubleshooting and repairs to all production equipment, hydraulic systems and pumps in a timely manner
    • Utilize the computerized maintenance management system for processing work orders, PM's and updating the equipment databases
    *Qualifications: * *Must possess Industrial Millwright 433A (Red Seal ticket)

    • Must have participated in apprenticeship program – on the job & school hours
    • 2 -3 years of work experience preferably in a manufacturing, continuous process environment
    • Exceptional mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
    • Energetic and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Knowledgeable of the _Occupational Health and Safety Act_ and possesses a strong safety focus
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and maintenance management software
    • Available and flexible to work in a fast paced environment, be self-driven to meet or exceed targets and work a flexible schedule that includes planned, unplanned and on-call shifts
    • Experience with electronics & PLCs. AC & DC motors and controls an asset.
    • Ability to operate specialized vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.
    • Physically fit & able to negotiate inclines, stairs and ladders Able to perform physically demanding activities while working in all types of extreme hot environments, both indoors and outdoors. The job requires bending, kneeling, crawling, stooping, and standing for long periods of time. Must be physically able to push, pull, and lift 40 lbs. Working in conditions may include exposure to noise, dust.
    • Willingness to work extended hours when and where required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

    *Salary** $41.00/hour, must have ticket. Additional shift premiums, call in pay and OT available.

    *Shifts:

    12 hour continental, 7am - 7pm permanent days
