We are currently seeking a seasonal EXPERIENCED
Finish Grader
Operator for our Municipal Business Unit
.

Reporting to the Superintendent, The Finish Grader Operator is responsible to finish grade, sub-grade & gravel base for asphalt paving.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Able to build parabolic crown and cross fall.
Work between new curb and gutters, utilities.
Demonstrate an understanding of grades and interpret roadway plans and drawings.
Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the grader.
Ensure company equipment is operated in a safe manner and in accordance with Carmacks Equipment maintenance practices.
Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections to identify hazards.

Education & Experience:

Minimum 3 years' experience operating as a Finish Grader _
in an urban/municipal setting._
Knowledge of City of Edmonton and surrounding areas specs.
Thorough knowledge of the safe operation of the equipment.
Knowledge of construction methods, road construction materials, heavy equipment operation and industry requirements.
Must have strong communication skills and able to work well in a team environment.
Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends
Valid License with clean drivers abstract.
Reliable transportation
