    Adecco in partnership with an Indigenous-founded, Indigenous-led, and exclusively Indigenous-serving organization that supports Indigenous communities to address cumulative effects through a Two-Eyed Seeing approach is seeking a Chief of Staff . The primary objective is to build and enhance the technical and scientific capacity of Indigenous communities across Canada, based on the values of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities. As a resource, the organization provides funding for community-led projects, share knowledge, and link Indigenous communities together, working towards intergenerational decision-making and partnership building.

    As someone with deep experience in executive support roles and project coordination, you are skilled at balancing multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity. You have a strong track record of executing creative solutions, working closely with, or within, an organization's executive team, and facilitating effective communication between executive teams and departments.

    About the Role

    As the Chief of Staff at ICCE, you will be the right hand to our executive team, playing a critical role in optimizing operations and supporting the organization's strategic initiatives. You will act as an important point of contact between the executive team and other staff members, and you will be responsible for ensuring that the executive team remains engaged with the broader ICCE community. Your role will be to manage organization-wide training (including staff, board members and TAC), manage daily logistics, facilitate effective internal communications, and contribute to long-term planning and governance, all while upholding the values and principles central to Indigenous communities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure appropriate training of staff either directly, or with service providers
    • Manage the executive team's daily schedule, including meeting planning, travel arrangements, and priority setting
    • Act as liaison between the executive team and department leaders, offering recommendations to improve teamwork and organizational effectiveness
    • Assist in strategic planning, work plans, and goal setting, taking into consideration the unique needs and values of Indigenous communities
    • Set and monitor key performance indicators to measure team and organizational performance
    • Facilitate cross-departmental communications and ensure that critical information is shared effectively
    • Attend meetings on behalf of the executive team, capturing important notes and action items

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as an non-profit, corporate executive or director is a strong asset
    • In-depth understanding of corporate governance principles, regulations, and best practices within the context of Indigenous non-profit organizations
    • Full-time or consultative experience, preferably with a focus on operations management within non-profit or Indigenous organizations
    • Proficiency in collaboration tools like Slack and Trello, as well as virtual meeting platforms like Zoom
    • Strong project reporting skills, specifically in interdepartmental communication
    • Experience in budget management
    • Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to Indigenous perspectives
