Looking for a barber/stylist to join our team


Having won the readers choice award for 'Best Barbershop' in Clarington in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021, we also won the 'Best of the Diamonds' award for all of Durham region in 2020 and 2021.

Must have a graduated from a registered hair school, and have experience working in a salon/barbershop. If you have a great personality, the interest in developing client relationships and desire to work with an amazing team ~ we want to hear from you


Will provide additional training for serious applicants, so long that previous requirements are met.


Hourly pay starts at $18 minimum per hour and can be as high as $39 per hour, with gratuities on top of that.

All government remittances are submitted through the company, and standard vacation pay is paid out on each paycheque. EI and CPP are deducted, making you eligible for those programs if/when needed.

Payroll is processed each week through direct deposit, while gratuities are distributed after each shift. Benefits are offered (for full-time employees) after probationary period, which include: dental coverage, health (prescriptions), massage/acupuncture and life insurance.

  • Provide a variety of hair care services to clients, including haircuts, styling, and coloring.
  • Offer hair threading services to clients.
  • Mentor and train junior barbers or apprentices.
  • Assist with front desk duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing client records.
  • Upsell salon products and services to clients.
  • Provide nail care services, such as manicures and pedicures.
  • Engage in retail sales, including recommending and selling hair care products.
  • Utilize retail math skills to calculate sales totals and handle cash transactions.

Experience:


  • Previous experience as a barber or hairstylist is required.
  • Knowledge of hair threading methods and techniques.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior barbers or apprentices.
  • Experience working at the front desk of a salon or spa is a plus.
  • Strong sales skills and the ability to upsell salon products and services.
  • Knowledge of nail care techniques for manicures and pedicures.
  • Experience in retail sales, including knowledge of retail math calculations.

Salary:
$18.00-$39.00 per hour
