As a Receptionist you will act as the first point of contact and provide the utmost in professionalism and service towards the Firm's clients, guests and employees.


Your role:


  • Respond to client inquiries on the Cisco Unified Attendant Console and redirect to the appropriate departments or individual
  • Greet clients/guests in a welcoming nature and act as a liaison between them and employees of the Firm with the utmost in professionalism;
  • Manage/monitor the booking of executive boardrooms and meeting rooms
  • Overseeing documentation of incoming/outgoing mail and parcels
  • Ensure meeting rooms are neat and tidy, including removing of cups and saucers and placing in general kitchen area after each room use;
  • Work in tandem with kitchen staff & caterers when coordinating business meetings
  • Use of computer software to perform routine administrative tasks;
  • Other related duties as required.
This position is integral part of our Reception team. You will work closely with one other full time receptionist and two part-time receptionists. Working as a team to fulfill the needs of the position. You will report directly to the Section Manager in the Executive Management dept.

This position is for our branch located at 130 King Street West where we have both Financial Markets/Wealth Management teams.

You will rotate between the 4th floor and 32nd floor reception desks.

This position requires you to be present in the workplace in order to fulfil client and operational needs.

Competencies required:


  • High School Diploma with a preference for additional specialized training (adult education or community college);
  • 25 years experience in a Receptionist role with preference for brokerage or financial services experience;
  • Excellent Communication and organizational skills;
  • Must have a positive attitude;
  • Must be energetic, polished and professional;
  • Working knowledge of MS office
  • Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Previous experience with a Cisco computer phone system is an asset;
  • Bilingualism both spoken and written (English and French) is considered an asset, but not a requirement
