Key Responsibilities

  • Support and execute troubleshooting, repairs and commissioning of Rittal HVAC and Rittal Automation products across Canada primarily in Quebec and Eastern Canada according to manufacturer's instruction/specs
  • Work alongside the Service Coordinator and ensure customers are responded to in a timely manner
  • Develop PM programs and advise with sales team to sell Service contracts
  • Work closely with our approved service partners to ensure fast accurate repairs in the field
  • Stay up to date with all HQ training from Germany and ensure the latest knowledge is obtained
  • Liaise with product management for common failure modes and improving product development and quality issues
  • Assist the Service Coordinator with scheduling of work and planning PM while not performing service
  • Attend the annual global Service Conference and represent Rittal Canada
  • Own and drive the Service group by managing and supporting warranty, repairs and new installs both internally and via Service Partner.
  • Develop and track Service related KPIs to ensure world class performance is achieved
  • Work closely with the Sales department on key projects and issues
  • Coordinate training sessions and organize training materials for internal and external customers / partners as needed

What you bring

  • Valid Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), Refrigeration Mechanic or Air Conditioning Mechanic license is preferred
  • 25 years experience in a similar industry / field
  • Strong technical aptitude and motor skills
  • Basic understanding of mechanical principles
  • Understand and have experience working with basic CNC machines
  • Servo motor trouble shooting and replacement both electrical and mechanical
  • Executing PM on CNC machines and HVAC units
  • Diagnosis of HVAC failures and ability to resolve error codes
  • Generally assigned to days but must be willing and able to work shift work, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • PLC knowledge is an asset
  • Auto Cad experience is also preferred
  • Previous experience with SAP and Zendesk is beneficial
  • Proficient with Office Suite of programs
  • Able to speak, read, and write clearly in English and French

Salary Range
- $ $75000 / year
