The Central Okanagan Emergency Shelter Society (COESS), operating as Kelowna Women's Shelter (KWS), provides a range of services, with a focus on the prevention of domestic abuse and support services for women and children, during and following an abuse crisis.

HR Coordinator to grow with us


JOB SUMMARY


Providing support to the full cycle recruiting process including preparing documentation, sourcing, screening, selecting, hiring, and onboarding; employee records management; benefit and HRIS/Payroll system administration and various other duties as required to support the HR department.

Reporting to the HR Manager, this position is responsible for:
Conducting new employee onboarding.

Maintaining both hard and digital copies of employees' records.

Entering new employee data into the organization's HRIS/payroll/systems as required.

Assisting in benefit administration.

Assisting with ad-hoc HR projects.

Providing administrative support to the Human Resources team i.e., draft general forms, letters, reports, and memos as necessary.

Keeping up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED
Post-Secondary Diploma in Human Resources or a related field.

Minimum of 1year experience as a Human Resources/Recruitment Coordinator preferred.

Highly computer literate with capability in MS Office and related business and communication tools.

Effective HR administration and people management skills.

Excellent written and verbal skills and comprehension.

Excellent time management skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail.

Highly organized.

Service oriented.


This is a full-time 37.5 hours per week, 6-month term position (with the possibility of extension) and offers a competitive salary and benefits package upon completion of the probation period.

_This position works remotely - Kelowna. However, you will occassionally be required onsite for various meetings. _
