Essential Duties:


  • Gain a deep understanding of the hotels existing and potential client base.
  • Devise new ways to expand our client base through prospecting, marketing and key relationships.
  • Proactively reach out to organizations, associations, and companies that may require hotel and/or meeting spaces.
  • Have in person meetings with potential accounts to explain the hotels unique value proposition and negotiation future business opportunities.
  • Network with wedding planners, event planners, group coordinators, travel agents, tour operators to increase bookings and prospects.
  • Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand our customer base for sales opportunities.
  • Able to provide quick and timely responses, immediate communication to properties and develop professional long term business relationships.
  • Conduct daily sales calls and arrange site visits/inspections to hotels by corporate clients.
  • Handles any complaints or reviews related to group/corporate sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Ensures that key account booking room blocks have a fantastic stay and receive VIP treatment.
  • Work with other departments to deliver as promised.
  • Negotiate, design and implement special group rates for key accounts.
  • Acts as a proactive, quota carrying salesperson that prospects accounts, closes deals and maintains relationships.
  • Report on key sales metrics to management on a regular basis to ensure sales goals are being met, PACE for guest room production is tracked and reported for budgeting.
  • Update action plan and financial objectives quarterly.
  • Creating, working with, editing key documents such as group agreements, group resumes, corporate rate letters, LNR agreements etc.
  • Closely following up on all business leads within 24hour response time.
  • Solid understanding of Market Dynamics and customer needs.

Prerequisites:


  • Proven success in a similar role and environment
  • 3 Years degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management or Related Major.

3-4 Years Experience in Sales & Marketing related profession that can outline the proven success in this industry.

  • Valid Drivers Licence
  • Clean Criminal Record Check & Drivers Abstract
