Purpose


The Contingent Workforce Management team serves as the centre of excellence for external talent resources at Scotiabank for business line leaders and managers across the globe.

We serve to enhance the end user experience by providing legendary service and support, external talent management and compliance adherence to the Bank's governing policies.

Reporting to the Senior Relationship Manager.

The Relationship Manager will be responsible to contribute to the overall success of the external workforce program globally, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.

You will also be responsible to ensure all activities conducted follow governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.


Key Accountabilities

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge while providing exemplary customer service and a high level of service quality to hiring managers.
  • Ensures all compliance, governance and financial requirements are met for the contingent workforce program, suppliers, and workers:
  • CWM Policy & impacts of Bank policies (WSS Policy, Employment after Retirement Policy, Accommodation in the Workplace Policy, etc.) as they relate to CWM and/or ScotiaContractor.
  • Manage compliance, audit and risk issues related to contingent workforce, including reporting, resolution, day to day issues and business line escalations.
  • Proactively meeting with BLs regularly, involved in all external workforce activities and workforce planning.
  • In partnership with the managed services provider for contingent workforce management, ensures any changes to regulatory requirements are reflected in Scotiabank processes and Policy, handle day to day issues and escalations (liaises with appropriate internal BNS teams to resolve).
  • Stays informed of regulatory changes to contingent workforce management issues and advises on Policy and business issues accordingly.
  • Oversight of client support, promotion materials, change management and communication related to the Contingent Workforce Management (& ScotiaContractor, where applicable) platform
  • In partnership with contingent workforce managed services provider, handle day to day issues and escalations (liaises with appropriate internal BNS teams to resolve)
  • Compile and analyze stakeholder/business line data across multiple internal and external systems to inform reporting & dashboards related to contractor workforce.
  • Managing day to day operations of internal client support for the Contingent Workforce Management program, and providing training, guidance, and coordination.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on continuous improvement and ensures new processes, policies, procedures are well understood and embedded across the team.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions. Champions a highperformance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.

Experience / Education:


  • Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Policy, Risk Management, Analytics experience
  • SAP Fieldglass experience is considered an asset.
  • Bank and/or industry experience with a global firm
  • Knowledge of contingent workforce industry and constantly changing regulatory requirements
  • Experience working and communicating with various business partners, across all levels, including Executive interaction and presentations.
  • Understanding and interpreting policy and analytics, reporting with Power Bi a benefit
