Accounting Coordinator


REPORTS TO:
Controller (Dairy)


LOCATION:
Burnaby, BC


We are looking for an
Accounting Coordinator to join our Finance Team This role will be an important part of the team.

The Accounting Coordinator ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.

Assists in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded.

This is a very exciting time for the Accounting Team as we continue to grow and expand The main challenge is to support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable balances and resolve discrepancies.

However, this provides opportunities to improve your attention to detail skills and organizational abilities.

EXPERIENCE

  • You have at least 1 years' experience in a similar position; accounting experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems an asset

NICE-TO-HAVE

  • Software implementation or upgrade experience

THINGS YOU WILL DO

  • Assist and support AR and AP duties
  • Prepare and make bank deposits
  • Investigate and reconcile AR and AP transactions
  • Identify potential risks
  • Collaborate with other departments with innovative projects
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports using specific templates

OTHER

  • Your work demands will vary throughout the month so you will need to be flexible in your working hours
  • Crosstrain with other accounting staff to assist when colleagues are on vacation
