Description

As one of Canada's Platinum Best Managed Companies, Fresh Direct Produce is looking for a permanent full-time Repack & Grading Team Supervisor to join our team.

Reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager, the Repack & Grading Team Supervisor shall use independent judgment and discretion in leading the Graders during the repacking and re-grading processes.

Responsibilities include:

Organize and supervise the daily activities of the Repack & Grading teams; schedule/assign tasks to team members
Distribute and log daily job assignments and labour vs. productivity output
Assist with repacking equipment operations
Act as a quality inspector for repacking products
Provide onthejob training to junior Graders and production workers
Train and ensure all food safety policies, GMP, and personal hygiene guidelines are being executed properly

Qualifications include:

3 years of supervisory experience in food processing / repacking production lines
Extensive produce knowledge (an asset)
Good interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong organizational and problemsolving skills
Ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work inside and outside coolers
