The Department of Finance has the mandate to provide leadership and direction to the public service in all areas of finance and human resource management.
This mandate includes negotiating major financial arrangements with the federal government, providing analysis and advice to the Financial Management Board, and ensuring that financial and information resources are managed effectively, efficiently and economically.
This mandate also includes the recruitment and retention of a competent public service that is representative of the people it serves and the development of programs and services that effectively serve the human resource needs of the public service.
Job InformationAs the Lead Trainer and Systems Data Analyst, your primary responsibility is to oversee the development and delivery of training programs for the Peoplesoft HRIS system within the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT).
This involves creating comprehensive training structures for the entire system and coordinating training sessions for GNWT employees, focusing on self-service and key user roles.
Additionally, the Lead Trainer and Systems Data Analyst encompasses data analysis, ensuring data quality, providing systems support, and resolving functional issues within the Peoplesoft HRIS system.
In this role, you must possess excellent client service skills and communication abilities to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
You will demonstrate both strong organizational and time management skills, proficiency in computer applications, and a deep understanding of HRIS systems, particularly Peoplesoft and the User Productivity Kits within.
Experience with change management in government settings, familiarity with the organizational culture, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment are just some of the skills required of the Lead Trainer and System Data Analyst.
Typically, the critical knowledge, skills, and abilities to be successful in this role are acquired through the successful completion of a relevant bachelor's degree and 4 years of directly related systems experience attained through working in various Human Resource divisions.
Specialized training in Peoplesoft and other systems applications, such as the User Productivity Kit's, is required.GNWT Inquiries
