Peninsula Ford in Owen Sound is seeking a
Licensed Automotive Internal Safety/Recon Technician
We are in need of an hourly (non flat-rate) internal licensed technician to help with our extremely busy sales department's vehicles.
This position's focus will be to provide internal safety and reconditioning checks, ensuring a smooth flow for our pre-owned inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed safety and reconditioning inspection and quote accordingly including maintenance suggestions
- Testdrive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor/Service Manager/Sales Manager so they are wellinformed
- Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs.
- Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections of New Vehicles
Qualifications
- 310S Technician License
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
- Ambitious, hardworking presence in a team environment
- Basic computer skills
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
