    Responsibilities

    The Operations Locate Administrator will play a vital role in ensuring the compliance, efficiency, and smooth operation of our construction projects. This role involves assisting in various administrative functions for both projects and corporate-related matters while working closely with the operations team.

    The Project Site Administrator will report directly to the Manager, Administration.

    Location: Clearway's Head Office – Maple, ON.

    Hours of Operations: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (EST)

    As a heavy civil contractor, Clearway's workforce requirements can fluctuate with project schedules and anticipated contract awards. We are currently seeking skilled candidates to join our team and encourage qualified applicants to submit their application.

    • Manage data entry and transfer, reporting, document control, internal audits, and coordination with project teams, acting as a liaison between field staff and head office; create, distribute, and maintain operational forms, templates, and documentation.
    • Centralize, submit, track, and manage all locate requests and re-locates from pre-construction through project completion, ensuring locate packages remain current, valid, and accurate as project scopes change, and providing ongoing updates to project teams.
    • Liaise with Locate Service Providers (LSPs), utility companies (e.g., TSSA, ESA, Enbridge), and inspectors, including sending reminders for expiring locates and following up to ensure timely completion.
    • Support emergency locate requests and utility damage investigations; enforce the locate process and develop metrics to monitor user compliance.
    • Analyze locate performance to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround times; maintain up-to-date job site locations using mapping tools such as Google Maps and generate weekly locate status reports.
    • Support and coordinate internal locate training for new and existing employees; attend locate-related conferences, seminars, and courses as required.
    • Participate in internal handover and pre-construction meetings to initiate the locate process and obtain and maintain utility clearances, including those associated with stop-work orders.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Administration Manager.

    Requirements

    • Post-Secondary Education/College Diploma preferred; administrative or construction-related experience also considered an asset.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Adobe.
    • Prior exposure to Ontario One Call or other Locate Software's is an asset.
    • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, meet deadlines, maintain accuracy, and take on new challenges and responsibilities in a self-motivated, driven manner.
    • Proficient in written and oral English with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada – no work permit sponsorship is available for this position
