Financial Coordinator - Markham, Canada - SE Health
Description
We are seeking an organized and efficient Financial Coordinator to support the Finance Managed Services team.We are a collaborative and supportive team, working closely with various Finance teams to achieve our organization's mission to spread Hope and Happiness.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bookkeeping for multiple clients
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Performing general ledger account reconciliations, including journal entries for accruals and allocations
- Preparing monthend reports and analyzing data
- Managing multiple clients simultaneously in a fastpaced and deadline driven environment
- Communicating with external clients re accounting inquiriesSupporting the year end audit work and report filings
- Assist with various financial and operational reporting requirements
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
years bookkeeping and general accounting experience in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent understanding of accrual bookkeeping, debits and credits, bank reconciliations, etc.
- Knowledge of full cycle accounting procedures in a computerized accounting environment
- Intermediate Excel skills required
- Knowledge of QuickBooks is an asset
- A strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and multitask with minimum supervision
- Strong critical thinking, a passion for financials, and data analysis, with a desire to learn on the job in a rapidly changing environment
- Flexibility of hours is required based on deadlines and requirements
- Experience in the charitable/nonprofit sector is an asset
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
