The opportunity:


The Program Coordinator, 50-30 Challenge and WEKH, reports to the Associate Director, and is responsible for leading in the design, development, and implementation Partnership Development + Outreach at the both national and regional levels for 50-30, while also supporting PD+O at the national and regional levels for both WEKH as requested.

The position will support the Associate Director with program/infrastructure development, as well as supporting research activities.

The Program Coordinator acts as the lead for planning and executing regional and ecosystem partner events on Indigenous women entrepreneurship and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion with ecosystem partners across Canada; this includes the development and execution of an ongoing engagement strategies, as well as developing and monitoring records and budgets for any events, engagements and/or meetings as needed.


The Program Coordinator acts as the main point of contact for all regional ecosystem partners across Canada and maintains working relationships with ecosystem partners through collaboration and engagement on events, projects, and initiatives that align with 50-30's mission to increase the representation of and inclusion of diverse groups within organizations across Canada.


The Program Coordinator is responsible for the preparation and dissemination of all public relations materials for the WEKH Indigenous newsletter, as well as providing Indigenous materials for the WEKH Blog and Social Media Channels; this includes communication and liaison with Indigenous partners, internal staff and the public, as needed.


The qualifications and experience we're looking for:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related discipline is required.
  • A degree in Business, Leadership, or Entrepreneurship or related field is an asset.
  • Minimum two years of directlyrelated administrative experience required.
  • Experience in partnership development and outreach with Indigenous communities is required.
  • Experience working with Indigenous businesses is an asset.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing data is required.
  • An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills required.
  • High degree of professionalism and tact required.
  • Being independently motivated, dependable, and the ability to work remotely is required.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at once is required.
  • Ability to delegate work and provide feedback and guidance to administrative employees required.
  • Adaptable and flexible to the many unique needs of Indigenous partners from different community or cultural groups required.
  • Empathetic approaches to relationship building and partnership management is required.
  • Strong political acumen is required.
  • Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and Indigenous cultural knowledge is required.
  • Knowledge of university regulations, programs and procedures as they relate to the function/program.
