As a Kitchen Assistant, you play a direct role in saving the lives of our patients each day by serving our residents in a safe environment promoting long term recovery.

You will partner with the Executive Director and Director of Nursing to establish and maintain a therapeutic environment and routine for our residents.


Requirements:


  • Minimum high school diploma
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • 13 years' experience in community service, kitchen experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:


  • Prepare food for residents' consumption. This includes cleaning food prep areas, sanitizing equipment, cleaning up any messes that occur during meal preparation or service, and cleaning up any messes that occur during meal preparation or service.
  • Maintain food inventory. This includes counting how many food items are on the menu for each shift and purchasing any additional food or ingredients that may be needed. It also includes ordering or receiving product that may be needed for future meals.
  • Check food quality throughout meal service period. This includes ensuring that all food is prepared according to CIUSSS de l'Ouestdel'ÎledeMontréal standards per HACCP guidelines. It also includes ensuring that all products are cleaned properly after each meal service period and stored properly after completion of each shift.
    MUST BE 18 YR OLDER TO WORK IN OUR PROGRAM.

Salary:
$40.00-$70.00 per hour

  • Cooking: 2 years (preferred)
