Working hours:4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m


About the Role:


The "Hydrocarbon Post-processing Tech" is responsible to support all activities related to Post-processing of extracted hydrocarbon (HC) extracts across CannaPiece Corp.

The role will support the end-to-end-processes within HC Extraction in the successful optimization of all post-processing activities.


The Hydrocarbon Post-Processing Technician will assist the post HC Extraction related production activities, operations, training, safety awareness at CannaPiece Corp.

This job includes significant administrative and regulatory duties to ensure compliance with GPP standards, Health Canada, and safety regulations.


Most importantly, the HC Post-processing Technician will be a team-player and a respectful collaborator, always using their position to grow the company through the empowerment and development of others.


Responsibilities:


  • Supporting postprocessing requirements and recipes for the extracted oil according to the predetermined postprocessing parameters.
  • Supporting the setup and operation of the postprocessing equipment and ancillaries.
  • Assisting with the post extraction related activities ensuring all deliverables are met with the goal of minimizing cost, increasing productivity, upholding quality, and consistency.
  • Close interaction and communication with the Hydrocarbon Postprocessing Lead and the Director of Product Development & Innovation in properly planning the customer's specification of the endproduct.
  • Communicating with the Lead and Director regarding the recipes/parameters to execute on tasks to accomplish those goals.
  • Following and implementing Standard Operating Processes and Work Improvements to promote best extractionprocessing practices.
  • Maintaining records of all raw and Workinprogress (WIP) materials, finished products, and byproduct in the documentation tracking system (Batch Process Records) for the Extraction department.
  • Obtaining and managing samples and sample hand offs of related outputs.
  • Working with Extraction Coordinator to facilitate Business, Process Reengineering andoffs, line clearances, sample management, and other production related administration.
  • Other tasks as instructed.

Qualifications & Requirements:


  • Previous HC Extraction postprocessing experience is an asset.
  • Experienced in cannabis extraction processes is an asset.
  • Superior time management skills including the ability to manage multiple issues concurrently.
  • Ability to lead an effective and efficient meeting.
  • Exposure to a fast paced and deadline related environment.
  • Knowledge of management and organizational concepts, principles, and techniques with demonstrated professional assertiveness.
  • Experience complying with Good Production Practice standards.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to be able to troubleshoot any issues with the processes and instrumentation.
  • Strong problemsolving skills.
