Gaslight Events Company is looking for an experienced Executive Chef to join our amazing team Operating in the up and coming Gaslight District in Cambridge, we are focused on providing our guests with a truly world class experience at Tapestry Hall, Foundry Tavern, Bellflower Market, and the Underwing.


As Executive Chef, you canadvance your culinary journey by working with some of the world's finest menu offerings, and teams of dedicated and talented cooks who share your passion for the culinary arts.

  • Experienced in completing inventory checks for food items

  • Versed in health and safety and food preparation
  • Eager to learn the process of operating a busy kitchen

What will be your responsibilities as Executive Chef?

  • Fulltime, salaried, Culinary management position, assisting in kitchen operations reporting directly to the Culinary Director.
  • Manages all daily kitchen and culinary program execution with excellence
  • Train, mentor and develop the skills of all culinary team members alongside fellow Sous Chef and Chef de Partie(s)
  • Manage various stations and revenue centres within the Gaslight Events Company
  • Take a hands on approach in preparing fresh ingredients, unique Canadian recipes and sending out only topquality dishes
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary, and clean work environment at all times
  • Work with the team to execute large volumes of orders and pars
  • Communicate clearly, calmly, and often
  • Gain experience in the business side of cooking, cost controls and team management

Qualifications:


  • You have minimum 12 year of restaurant Sous Chef or Chef de Partie experience (in a comparable fullservice restaurant environment)
  • You have strong organization & time management skills
  • You are passionate about food & culinary excellence
  • You are driven, you take initiative & you never turn your head from a standard
  • You know success comes from dedication & hard work, which you do not shy away from
  • You thrive in a fastpaced environment
  • You are able to work days, nights, weekends & holidays in a fulltime capacity
  • You are able to make a minimum one (1) year commitment to our team

From $70,000.00 per year
