    Job Overview:

    As a Building Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the building to ensure an excellent living experience for tenants. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to think quickly on their feet, have excellent task and time management, problem solve and create great relationships and a sense of community within the property.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily inspections of the property (interior/exterior), and complete minor maintenance such as power washing and building repairs
  • Schedule, meet, and oversee trades and other contractors in the building, ensuring projects are completed in a proper and timely manner
  • Conduct administrative and clerical functions such as managing social room bookings; maintaining records, directories and manuals; distributing and controlling entry fobs; collecting/recording parking and other fees, post notices and enforce Strata bylaws and rules
  • Report building issues and incidents in writing to Strata Property Manager and Strata Council
  • Respond to residents' queries & requests promptly and professionally and sched resident move-ins/outs
  • Respond to emergencies, assist first responders and execute emergency protocol as needed
  • Perform monthly security inspections & procedures (generators, fire alarm, others) as required
  • Work closely with and assist the Strata Property Manager, the on-site cleaning and front desk team, and Strata Council to ensure a smooth building operation
  • Shifts Available:

    Monday to Friday in Langley in the Yorkson - Willoughby area.

  • 8am – 4pm potential flexibility in days
  • Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least one year of Building Manager experience in residential strata or commercial setting is required
  • Excellent written and oral command of the English language is necessary in order to be able to work efficiently and communicate appropriately with our clients and our support staff.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, verbally and in writing with residents, clients and support staff
  • Experience with maintaining building and mechanical systems, and basic handyperson skills are strong assets
  • Possess solid computer skills (Microsoft Office, internet, e-mail and messaging/text proficiency)
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to patrol the property including stairs, hallways, interior, and exterior
  • Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (wind, heat, cold, rain, etc.)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to use standard building equipment (vacuum, climb a ladder, mob, handyperson tools for minor maintenance, power washer, leaf blower, etc.)
