Description
We are seeking a Team Leader, Group Benefits Administration to join our Coughlin team in Ottawa.
The Team Leader, Group Benefits Administration provides administrative services to the Group Administration Department in such a way as to enable the smooth operation and administration of the Single Employee Plans.
The Team Leader, Group Benefits Administration will:
- Provide general guidance and support to staff while fostering good morale and conflict resolution
- Coordinate and schedule the training activities of the department, including establishing methods to meet work schedules and monitoring work progress and quality by conducting periodic checks with employees
- Resolve work problems and recommending measures to improve productivity and quality
- Provide input on the progress of training and for performance reviews at several key intervals, including discussing specific performance issues
- Recommend personnel actions such as hiring, promotions, and training needs
- Assist the team as required with general administration and following up with any issues that arise
- Enhance communication between internal parties.
To be successful
as a
Team Leader, Group Benefits Administration with Coughlin & Associates, you will need**:
- Strong leadership abilities, including coordinating workflow, training subordinates, motivating a team, and motivating individual performance
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, accounting software, and standard office administration procedures
- Excellent grammatical, spelling, and communication skills
- Superior data entry skills and strong mathematical and reconciliation skills
- Practical knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping theories and practices and banking procedures
- The ability to maintain good public relations, both within and outside the organization
- Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask, and the ability to manage time effectively to meet numerous and conflicting deadlines
- The ability to adhere to existing company policies and procedures
- The ability to deal maturely with issues and stand up well under pressure
- The ability to use tact and discretion to maintain information in the strictest of confidence
- Bilingualism in English & French
- GBA or CEBS designation or working toward
