ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
This role reports to Dr. Paul Adams.


SUMMARY


Simon Fraser's BC Centre for Agritech Innovation (BCCAI) Ambassador Program will advance BC's position in the agritech sector by championing innovation and technology adoption through close collaboration with Post-Secondary Institutions (PSI) across the Province.

The BCCAI Ambassador Support Staff will work with KPU's Dr.

Paul Adams to promote BCCAI initiatives and deliver a hands-on training and upskilling program that addresses best practices, emerging trends, and/or industry-specific knowledge gaps.

This initiative aims to improve the quality of training and education supported by BCCAI and can be delivered as standalone workshops, lectures, or a course series.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research current best practices, emerging trends, and/or industryspecific knowledge gaps related to the use of genomics in BC Agriculture.
  • Help write an Expression of Interest (EOI) for BCCAI's noncredit training and upskilling program.
  • Plan, organize and deliver one public handson training and upskilling program related to the use of genomics in BC Agriculture.
  • Help prepare update and progress reports for submission to the SFU BCCAI Ambassador program.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • MSc minimum.
  • Knowledge and experience supporting R&D projects with BC's agriculture sector within area of expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience creating handson training within areas of expertise.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
