Role and Responsibilities
The role we are offering you:
- Participate in projects that optimize the operational effectiveness of the CF-1
- Provide new functionalities and improve existing capabilities for the actual CF-18 mission computer in the areas of:
- Navigation system
- Electrooptical infrared sensor
- Alerting and maintenance systems
- Participate in all phases of software development, including: Problem Analysis; Requirements Definition; Design; Modeling; Coding; Integration; Test; Qualification.
- Opportunity to work with operational specialists (CF18 pilots) and members of Canadian Forces
- Support Canadian Forces during military exercises
- Bachelor/Master in engineering: Mechanical / Electrical / Aeronautical / Software / Computer.
- 02 years of experience.
- Ability to selflearn
- Ability to work as part of a team and to interact with different multidisciplinary groups.
- Programming experience
- Experience in development, integration, testing or debugging of realtime embedded software
- Interest in aeronautics, avionics, and aircraft systems operation
- Understanding of mathematical models and algorithms based on flight mechanics
- Assembly, Matlab, C/C++/C# programming, Unix
- CAE employees must be able to meet the requirements of the Canada Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and in certain cases, ITAR requirements.
- Must be eligible to obtaining and maintaining the government of Canada's "Reliability" status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance
- Work will be performed in hybrid mode, 4080% work from home and the rest in CAE Mirabel office. This work location is not accessible via public transportation. A car is needed.
