Role and Responsibilities

The role we are offering you:

Participate in projects that optimize the operational effectiveness of the CF-1
Provide new functionalities and improve existing capabilities for the actual CF-18 mission computer in the areas of:
Navigation system
Electrooptical infrared sensor
Alerting and maintenance systems
Participate in all phases of software development, including: Problem Analysis; Requirements Definition; Design; Modeling; Coding; Integration; Test; Qualification.
Opportunity to work with operational specialists (CF18 pilots) and members of Canadian Forces
Support Canadian Forces during military exercises
Bachelor/Master in engineering: Mechanical / Electrical / Aeronautical / Software / Computer.
02 years of experience.
Ability to selflearn
Ability to work as part of a team and to interact with different multidisciplinary groups.
Programming experience
Experience in development, integration, testing or debugging of realtime embedded software

Assets

Interest in aeronautics, avionics, and aircraft systems operation
Understanding of mathematical models and algorithms based on flight mechanics
Assembly, Matlab, C/C++/C# programming, Unix

Operational Requirements

CAE employees must be able to meet the requirements of the Canada Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and in certain cases, ITAR requirements.
Must be eligible to obtaining and maintaining the government of Canada's "Reliability" status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance
Work will be performed in hybrid mode, 4080% work from home and the rest in CAE Mirabel office. This work location is not accessible via public transportation. A car is needed.
