Century Mile Racetrack and Casino is looking for energetic Food & Beverage Supervisor to enhance our service team. Assist the Front of House Service Manager in overseeing the Food & Beverage Department. Ensure prompt and courteous service for the guests.
Answer questions to the guests about casino operations and consistently acts to provide a positive image to all customers and staff members.
Will perform all duties in compliance:
with safety standards, health and the Alberta Liquor Control Board (AGLC).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises forty (40) to (50) employees indirectly in F&B operations. Is responsible for the direction, coordination of front of house operations when on shift. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding employees during the shift; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated experience directing employees in a supervisory role, experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure, experience problem solving, organizing and prioritizing work.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have and maintain a current Pro-serve certificate. Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential duties may involve performing physical exertion: frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs and, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, kneeling, squatting, bending, walking and crouching/stooping, pushing and standing for entire work shift, with standard breaks, in order to perform duties.
Essential duties may involve working in a small, confined area, with floors which may become slippery in the work process.
Essential duties require lifting up to 75 pounds to stack, store or move casino and/or general office supplies and equipment.
Essential duties also involve sitting while completing paperwork or using a computer, and a flexible work, week with additional hours routinely required.
