Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Operator to join our team. As an Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operations of the fuel facilities. This is a hands-on role that requires technical skills and strong attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
- Ability to pass color identification testing set forth by the company.
- Have proof of eligibility to work in Canada and the ability to obtain a Restricted Access Identification Certificate under Transport Canada Approval.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Preferred Additional Requirements:
Experience on the following:
- accepting petroleum products into all storage facilities in accordance with CSA836.22 established procedures and quality controls.
- quality control of fuel and facility inspections and integrity of fuel systems.
- maintenance of fuel inventories, truck receipt logs and bill of ladings.
- periodic and scheduled inspections.
Operator Primary Responsibilities:
- Able to train and become fluent in the operation of HMI Computer systems that runs the facility.
- Fluent in basic computer skills, basic math calculations and develop the essentials to be a problem solver.
- Perform Quality Control Requirements set forth by CSA836.22 Standards for Jet Fuel Aerodromes.
- Receive fuel from transport trucks into the facilities tankage and perform quality testing prior to offloading.
- Become familiar with I6 inventory programs and Quality Control App data entry.
- Receive fuel from pipelines both Pembina and TF0 imports.
- Perform site walk arounds and document any safety/security observations.
- Inspect the facilities pipelines systems daily.
- Interact with outside personnel including inventory, trucking companies, and marine terminal operators.
- Be able to climb storage tanks for manual inventory gauging and custody transfer measurements.
- Ability to work alone, as well as with others, team player mindset most beneficial.
- Adhere to all PPE requirements set forth by the facility managers.
- The ability to work overtime if required, lead by example, meet attendance standards, and embrace the safety culture set forth by the PLH Management.
- Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
