Job Description:


We are looking for an enthusiastic, interpersonal, driven individual to join our Regulatory and Transmission Services Team as a Transmission Program Analyst.

As a Transmission Program Analyst, you'll embark on an exciting journey at the heart of our Grid Reliability Projects and Planning teams.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate the definition, design, and development of Connection and System processes, tools, reports, and templates, including by:
  • Developing and executing implementation plans
  • Proactively identifying improvements and enhancements
  • Providing front line support for user questions and issues
  • Providing training
  • Leading change management with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide routine (daily, monthly, quarterly, annual) and adhoc reports and analysis relative to project status, performance, trends, and risks.
  • Assist in the development of any necessary business cases for new or updated tools.
  • Collaborate with business users and IT to resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain a clear understanding of the AESO connection and system project processes.
  • Maintain productive and positive working relationships with AESO staff and external parties.

What you'll bring to us:

  • University degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related field. Project management certification would be considered an asset. 35 years of relevant working experience. Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities concurrently, meet defined timelines, with conscientious attention to detail.
  • Experience gathering, interpreting and utilizing requirements from business users to assist in successfully implementing tools and processes.
  • Experience in successfully developing and maintaining high level reports and reporting tools (dashboards) for business users, management and senior level executives.
  • Strong skills in collecting, analyzing, managing and presenting information.
  • Functional knowledge of Adobe Workfront, Power BI, and SharePoint preferred, with continuous learning to develop advanced expertise.
  • Influence and integrate the adoption of solutions and changes across the organization.
