Course Description


INSPIRE 1A03 is an experiential learning course supporting student exploration of questions and issues impacting Hamilton and the surrounding region over a four-week period in May.

This course gives students the opportunity to choose from a series of learning experiences that occur in studios, workshops, labs and in the field, both on and off campus, allowing the course to be geared towards their interest.

Content and schedule will vary.

INSPIRE 1A03 is organized where students take different modules within the course. Each module is one week in length. On each given week students will have a choice from different modules running concurrently.


Required Qualifications


The successful applicant will have previous experience teaching courses of this nature, or similar courses, at the university level and/or appropriate academic qualifications.


Preferred Qualifications
University degree is preferred.

Experience in highly-interactive teaching methods and providing meaningful feedback on student reflections is preferred.

  • Supplemented Fees
a) The employee may be eligible to receive supplemented fees in accordance with Schedule C of the Collective Agreement.

The actual rate of pay when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount.

If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing, then the employee shall receive the difference.
