Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant Level II to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment following aseptic techniques
- Assist our Hygiene team with day to day operation
- Take and develop dental X-rays and other medical imaging using advanced tools such as 3D scanners while maintaining strict radiation safety protocols
- Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Cleardent to ensure accurate documentation of patient histories, treatment plans, and medical coding
- Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures
- Ensure infection control standards are met by adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining a sterile environment
- Support administrative tasks including dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow efficiently
- Assist with medical documentation and records management related to dental and medical histories
- Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to communicate effectively with team members and patients
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with proficiency in chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques
- Strong knowledge of EMR systems such as ClearDent is a plus
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and accurately
- Excellent understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Experience supporting pediatric dentistry procedures is highly desirable
- Certification in radiography or X-ray technology required; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or prosthodontics are advantageous
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation and records management
