Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant Level II to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring smooth and efficient patient care while supporting the clinical operations of our dental practice. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, especially in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry settings. You will utilize your knowledge of dental procedures, medical documentation, and infection control to uphold the highest standards of safety and quality. Duties

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments
• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment following aseptic techniques
• Assist our Hygiene team with day to day operation
• Take and develop dental X-rays and other medical imaging using advanced tools such as 3D scanners while maintaining strict radiation safety protocols
• Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Cleardent to ensure accurate documentation of patient histories, treatment plans, and medical coding
• Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures
• Ensure infection control standards are met by adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining a sterile environment
• Support administrative tasks including dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow efficiently
• Assist with medical documentation and records management related to dental and medical histories
• Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to communicate effectively with team members and patients

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with proficiency in chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques
• Strong knowledge of EMR systems such as ClearDent is a plus
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques
• Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and accurately
• Excellent understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
• Experience supporting pediatric dentistry procedures is highly desirable
• Certification in radiography or X-ray technology required; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or prosthodontics are advantageous
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation and records management

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
