Quality Inspector - Experienced


CNC Industries is a prominent manufacturer of OEM components for the Mining, Construction, Earthmoving Industries, and specialized parts used in the Oil Extraction process.

We are currently looking for an experienced Quality Inspector, responsible for approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, including recording quality results.

Wage Range:
$27 - $32/hour depending on experience.

Shifts Available:
Day & Night shift.

Key Responsibilities:


  • At all times, the Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the Health & Safety of themselves, their peers, and customers in an environmentally friendly manner.
  • Daily inspection of parts adhering to high quality standard process.
  • Perform and document firstarticle and log firstoff inspections for inproduction parts.
  • Approve incoming materials by confirming measurements conducting visual and measurement tests and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Approve inprocess production including confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests communicating all required discrepancies and adjustments to production and quality lead in a timely manner.
  • Approve all finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests.
  • Returning and confirming all products for rework.
  • Document all inspection results by completing reports and logs summarizing rework and waste and inputting all data into a Quality Management Database.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of all measuring equipment calibrating equipment as required and requisitioning for repairs as needed.
  • Operate and coordinate measuring machine and Faro arm.
  • Assist with education and training of other inspectors.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with CNC Industries HSE program, and complying with OHS regulations and code.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:


  • Minimum five (5) years inspection experience in a machining environment
  • Mechanical Engineering Technologist Diploma or similar an asset
  • Experience with API thread inspection.
  • Training in API and ISO quality systems an asset
  • Working knowledge of gage maker inspection equipment an asset
  • Ability to work and collaborate with all levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problemsolving skills: ability to identify and evaluate with strong analytical skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and meticulous delivery of the highest quality of standards and accuracy; strong organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic: demonstrated time management, ability to prioritize, multitask and maintain flexibility.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a collaborative environment, including across departments.
  • Able to lift to 30 lbs.
  • Fit to be walking, standing, and performing continuous, repetitive movements, and have good dexterity with measuring equipment.
