Our company works on different aspects of construction. Renovations in residential and commercial, as well as new construction in each sector. We perform exterior works as well. Our business is stimulating because we face new challenges each day and work on different scopes of construction.

Types of projects and renovations that we bid on and work on

• Commercial Settings (New & Renovation): framing, drywall, taping and acoustical ceiling package.
• Residential Settings (New & Renovation): bathroom, kitchen, renovations, new construction.
• Millwork installation: installation of custom cabinetry.
• Service work: repairing water damage, fixing handrails, cutting access doors into ceilings, etc.
• Decks and fences: new construction, repairs, removal, installation of various decking products.
• Flooring (New & Renovation): installation and repairs of porcelain/ceramic tiles, hardwood/laminate/engineered/vinyl flooring

Commercial Settings:
framing, drywall, taping and acoustical ceiling package.

In this sector we will layout and frame walls and ceilings out of steel stud and other light gauge steel components according to blue prints.

Employees should have (or be willing to develop) blue print drawing reading skills. Employees will be required to work independently or as part of a team to complete work. The highest standard of safety practices are expected on all work sites.

We use scaffolding, scissor lifts, and sometimes aerial platforms to perform this work. The size of the project will dictate the type and quantity of access equipment. Employees will need to obtain the appropriate certifications/training to work on these machines. Typically, on commercial sites there is a large amount of drywall to be installed on walls and/or ceilings.

For ease of transport, we have drywall dollies and practice safe lifting techniques using our legs and not our back.

Residential Settings:
bathroom, kitchen, renovations, new construction
Residential projects require close dialog and good working relationships with homeowners. Residential renovations vary across different areas of a home. Employees will be required to work independently or as part of a team to complete work. The highest standard of safety practices are expected on all work sites.

Residential projects typically starts with an agreed upon plan, which will dictate which tools are required for each stage of the renovation.

Sequence and attention to detail is important so that other trades can be coordinated and next step can begin smoothly.

For example:
new flooring can't be installed until 100% of the floor area is prepped for a new installation. Poor execution will result in lost time and material. Most residential projects require working in smaller square footage.

Quality is very important to our residential customers and particularly our brand.

We often lay floor tiles, wall tiles, install transition pieces, and perform finish carpentry such as:
baseboards, crown molding, door installation and hardware, wainscoting, recessed or applied mouldings, install vanities and kitchen cabinetry.


Millwork installations
Employees may be expected to install custom cabinetry, kitchens, vanities, pilasters, custom wall panels, etc.

This work may include installing columns and custom wall panels in condo lobbies, installing custom closet organizing cabinetry, kitchen cabinets, bathroom partitions etc.

This is fine detail work. Custom made millwork needs to be installed as per the plans and specifications. Any and all discrepancies are to be reported to the supervisor/supplier for immediate problem solving. A wide range of tools are usually required for these projects.


Service work
Some of our commercial customers require "service" work. This can vary from post P.D.I. deficiency lists, minor repairs, replacing baseboards, uncovering something that was maybe hidden by the previous contractor, etc. Garsidian Group Inc. is on several companies "facilities list". "Service" work requires Garsidian Group Inc. to deploy a worker, tools, set up equipment, cleanup materials to complete work on short notice (1-2 days notice. Since service work is usually completed during business hours, clients have high expectations of cleanliness. Quick, efficient work is key and we leave the work site tidy at all times.
