The Manager, Finance and Operations leads the day-to-day operational, administrative and academic activities for Beedie School of Business, data governance, exam invigilation, safety and risk mitigation, access control, procurement, space management and allocation and oversight for building maintenance and repairs.

The Manager provides expertise in financial analysis, advice, budget planning, reporting and process and procedural improvements and oversees transaction processing related to payroll, accounts payable and procurement.

The role manages capital projects to support the long-term physical resource needs for students, faculty and staff.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a professional accounting designation (CPA) and seven years of related experience including financial management and personnel management, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of the design and development of financial models for projecting revenue and expenses and financial analysis.
  • Excellent knowledge of procurement compliance regulations.
  • Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of personnel management.
  • Excellent financial analysis, budget planning, and financial management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral, written, and presentation) skills.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, mentorship and motivational skills.
  • Excellent conflictresolution and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent analytical reasoning, quantitative analysis and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships and partnerships and to work collaboratively at all levels and areas within the organization.
  • Ability to identify and understand the need for integration of multiple initiatives and to be able to develop appropriate strategies to achieve results.
  • Proficient in the use spreadsheets, databases, and enterpriselevel financial and record management information systems such as FAST, FINS, Osis, Hyperion, Tableau, Smartview, Myinfo (HAP), TRACS and Filemaker.
