We are seeking a Financial Analyst Intern to optimize our forecasting, analysis and data reporting processes and deliverables.

We're growing rapidly and are looking to add someone to the team with some finance experience, a high sense of urgency and an interest in working with a scaling startup in the healthtech space.


The pay range for this role is $ per hour and will depend on how closely your experience and qualifications match with what we're looking for.

This is a role that is flexible and remote.

You'll report into our CEO, and will primarily work with the Marketing, Development and Operations teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Support the monthly Sales forecasting process, month end analysis, compilation of Canadian CD balanced scorecard, and trade spend analysis
  • Support core financial processes (annual budget, forecasts, monthly reporting, variance analysis) to build a solid and compelling financial plan that meets the expectations of Senior Leadership,
  • Analyze financial and clinical information to help drive and facilitate optimal decision making
  • Prepare and maintain various reports that showcase customer performance metrics (including shares, profitability, etc.)
  • Develop Business Cases in collaboration with various program stakeholders (i.e. collecting, analyzing and interpreting key metrics to support business cases and program initiatives)
  • Analyze monthly invoices and budget line items and then communicate updates
  • Review and provide insights on customer refunds and payment trends
  • Support the marketing team in the development and execution of sales, special offers and incentive programs
  • Assist in improving current tools and processes for Management Report and P&L analysis
  • Maintaining a high level of professional decorum in your approach, communications and engagement with your patients
  • Liaison with crossfunctional teams to support our Monthly Performance and KPI tracker

Must be working towards a Masters or professional Financial designation (i.e.

CPA, CFA):


  • Completed undergraduate university degree in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration, or Health Administration / Informatics is required
  • Minimum 3 years related experience
  • Selfstarter with ability to motivate and focus on multiple tasks and projects
  • Superior ability to organize, analyze and evaluate data, both quantitatively and qualitatively
  • Expert knowledge in Quickbooks (or other financial software), MS Excel, strong skillset in MS Office Suite and modern BI Tools
  • Strong, demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, highly collaborative and supportive team player
  • Experience in the healthcare and/or innovation sectors considered a strong asset
