Corrcoat Services is currently seeking an General Paint Labourer to join our shop operations team in Surrey.

This role will be responsible for assisting the shop operations team in a variety of functions such as shop housekeeping, blast/paint prep and assisting with handling/loading of materials.

General Job Duties and Responsibilities

Conducts general labour tasks in a safe manner that aligns with company compliance.
Assists in handling/loading of paint/blasting material.
Maintains an organized area when handling and storage of materials.
Assists in prepping blast/paint material for crew.
Lifting, moving, and organizing paint/blast material to assist the operations crew.
Conducts shop floor housekeeping to ensure operation area is free from hazards.
Participation in toolbox meetings to maintain a safe working environment.

Working Conditions

Able to work in both outdoor and indoor conditions.
Able to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to handle physically demanding movements (bending, kneeling, crouching).

Experience Requirements

1+ years working experience in a construction labour position.
Experience in working in painting/sandblasting is considered an asset.
Forklift ticket would be considered an asset.
Heavy material/rigging experience is considered an asset.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks that are considered labour intensive.
Moderate knowledge in the use of tools is an asset.
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team like environment.
Completion of and level of First aid and other industrial training is considered an asset.
Able to be punctual and demonstrates responsibility and accountability.
