- Ensures product is properly loaded, secured and shipped to the correct customer in the correct quantity.
- Makes sure that shipping procedures, blocking and bracing, and transportation guidelines are being followed.
- Ensures that shipping and material SAP transactions are done correctly and within established time guidelines.
- Works to improve overall efficiency of all warehouse activities including 5S housekeeping projects.
- Coordinates with all affected groups related to Shipping activities, including laboratory, labeling, planners and logistics providers.
- Provides oversight with the Logistics Manager over logistic regulations and compliance to those standards.
- Other Functions:
-Supports all safety related activities including safety huddles, incident reviews, Gensuite's.
-Monitors and oversees issues involving equipment, i.e., forklifts, label printers, scanners, shrink wrapping equipment. - High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
- Preferred 3 plus years' experience in a manufacturing or distribution center environment.
- Logistics experience is a plus.
- SAP experience is preferred.
- MS Office software is preferred.
- Self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Willingness to obtain Haz Mat (DOT, IATA, ICAO, IMDG) Certification. Training will be provided as needed.
