Description
1.0 Responsibilities:
1.1 To report directly to the VP Operations on an ongoing basis and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to quality.
1.3 Ensure Management Review Meetings are scheduled as required
1.4 Monitor and advise on the performance of the Quality Management System and produce data and reports on performance, measuring against set indicators.
1.5 Liaise with other managers and staff throughout the organization to ensure that the Quality Management System is functioning properly.
Where appropriate, the quality manager advises on changes and their implementation and provides training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.
1.6 Responsible for overall Quality Management System and it's conformance to current ISO 9001 standard.1.7 Ensure internal audits are completed as specified in the Quality Management System.
1.8 Provide necessary data to allow management team to assess the QMS in regards to satisfying the customer. Document any Continuous Improvement outputs.
1.9 Ensure all CARs are completed thoroughly and in a timely fashion and are focused on determining root cause and action taken to prevent reoccurrence.
1.11 Review MTRs to customer requirements as received; Log and file Material Test Reports (MTRs) into specified database.
1.12 Create, review, scan and file inspection data reports according to customer requirements.
1.13 Produce and organize quality controls to attain desired manufacturing efficiency, costs and quality.
1.14 Attend production meetings to ensure communication between quality, engineering and production.
1.15 Participate in management meetings.
1.16 On occasion visit with suppliers / customers to communicate / receive requirements.
1.17 Participate in work groups with respect to products and simultaneous engineering projects.
1.18 Comply with all procedures documented in the Quality Management System.
1.19 Ensure staff comply to the Quality Management System.
1.20 Provide training / or review of the Quality Management System (QMS),

21 Ensure conformance to ASME Section VIII and IX requirements which includes:
- Weld procedures WPS, PQRs meet current requirements
- Welder Qualifications and Welder logs are up todate
- Liase with TSSA and the Authourized Inspector when required.
1.23 Review, scan and file all supplier submitted PPAP reports once deemed acceptable.
1.24 Communicate with Customer and internal personnel when Customer nonconformances are received.
1.25 Review, approve, scan and file all Third Party external Inspection reports which include UT, MPI and RT reports.
1.26 Create and submit Reservoir Certificates as product shipped to EMD.
1.27 Provide support to Inspectors during their daily activities and assist in problem solving.
1.28 Provide support to Inspectors with Faro CMM Equipment
1.29 Responsible for ensuring AWC's Equipment Calibration Program is current.
1.30 Responsible for ensuring the Welder Certification Program is current.
2.0
Health & Safety
2.1 Provide information, instruction and supervision to individual workers to protect health or safety of each individual.
2.2 Ensure the equipment, materials and protective devices as prescribed are provided and are maintained in good condition.
2.3 Instruct each new employee on job safety requirements and enforce safety regulations on policies and the use of personal protective equipment.
2.4 Maintain daily contact with employees on safety matters through visual observation of each respective employee's safe working procedures (where necessary).
3.0 Supervision / Management of Human Resources

1 To supervise and manage inspectors with respect to recruiting, selection and hiring, orientation, attendance, health and safety, Workers' Compensation, progressive discipline, employee relations, labour relations, performance management, salary administration, training and development, delegation of specific responsibilities and employee dismissal (specifically):
3.2 To train Team members to perform to the maximum of their ability and to co-ordinate the progressive skill development and cross training of employees.
4.0 General Responsibilities
4.1 To conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities that contribute to the efficient management of AWC Manufacturing Inc.

Experience / Skill Requirements
5.1 Ten (10 ) years of Quality / Engineering experience.
5.2 ISO 9001 Certifi
