    • Foster and maintain client relationships.
    • Plan and complete field investigations such as material sampling programs and construction QA/QC projects.
    • Empathize with stakeholders and communities affected by mining operations and work to address their concerns with sensitivity and understanding.
    • Take ownership of tasks, seek out opportunities for improvement and contribute positively to team efforts.
    • Maintains and understands the importance of respect for diverse cultures, background, and perspectives, with an awareness of cultural sensitivities in community engagement and consultation process.
    • Ensures the highest commitment to ethical behavior, integrity, and transparency in all interactions, particularly when dealing with stakeholders and sensitive environmental issues.
    • Willingness to continuously learn and expand knowledge in technical discipline, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder engagement practices.
    • Ability to analyze environmental data, including soil and water quality data, to inform reclamation plans and closure strategies.
    • Junior‑level project management skills to assist in planning, organizing, and executing reclamation and closure projects.

    Qualifications

    • Educational background in environmental engineering, mining engineering, biology, ecology, earth sciences, environmental science, geology, or environmental technology is an asset.
    • Knowledge of environmental principles, regulations, and best practices related to mine reclamation and closure.
    • Genuine interest in environmental sustainability and a commitment to mitigating the environmental impacts of mining activities.
    • Proficiency in GIS software to create maps and spatially analyze data relevant to mine sites and reclamation efforts is an asset.
    • Experience in engaging with local communities, stakeholders, and regulators to gather input, address concerns, and build relationships.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

    • Understanding the environmental regulations and permitting requirements relevant to mine reclamation and closure activities could be considered an asset.
    • Experience in facilitating workshops or meetings to develop closure visions with input from various stakeholders considered an asset.
    • Ability to remain resilient and composed under pressure, while maintaining professionalism and focus on achieving project objectives.
