Summary
The Maintenance Team Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating all maintenance related activities and personnel within their area of supervision.
The Maintenance Team Manager shall ensure that Meridian's safe work procedures are followed, quality standards are met, performance expectations are communicated and completed on time, and people are strategically placed to create optimum efficiency.

Job Duties
-
Safety
- Oversee and enforce safety and health regulations and ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) is being worn correctly in department
- Ensure the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) procedure is being followed and enforced as required.
- Review and followup on Non-Compliance Reports (NCR)
Quality
- Ensure equipment inspections/repairs are being completed accurately
- Work with Production/Process/Quality Team Leaders to develop ways to improve equipment performance
- Monitor training and quality programs in department and implement ways to improve maintenance quality metrics
People
- Direct and coordinate the activities of maintenance employees
- Monitor and assess employee performance, attendance and quality of work
- Conduct and complete employee performance reviews
- Conduct and document employee disciplinary meetings
- Manage employee timeoff requests
- Confer with management or team members to resolve worker questions or concerns
- Work with Human Resources to interview and select new employees for the department
- Ensure new employees receive proper and timely training
Maintenance
- Ensure equipment is inspected and repaired in a timely manner and the production department is notified of needed inspection or repairs.
- Work with other Team Leaders to coordinate maintenance operations and activities within and between departments
- Plan, coordinate and staff biannual maintenance shutdowns
- Maintain detailed maintenance, equipment and warranty records
- Ensure purchase orders are provided in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of welding, hydraulic, electrical and air equipment and the processes would be a definite asset
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent, preferred
- Postsecondary education in maintenance related field an asset
- Five (5) years minimum experience in maintenance, preferably in a leadership role
- First Aid, CPR certified an asset, or willing to obtain
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software, and excellent computer skills
- Strong written, and verbal, communication skills with all levels of the organization
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
- Ability to keep and maintain accurate records
- Superior interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service orientation
Work Conditions

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
