Here's how a(n) Draftsperson for our Edmonton Melloy office contributes to our team:


Responsibilities:


  • Develop detailed construction drawings with review and input from engineering. Includes a variety of scopes such as pressure vessels, exchangers, piping, ductwork, furnace convection sections, tubing, and miscellaneous items.
  • Working with fabrication shop/site personnel on a large variety of projects.
  • Review packages, interpret and assist in developing RFI's.
  • Assist in identifying changes that impact cost, schedule, or quality.
  • Incorporate drawing review comments into construction drawings.
  • Issuing construction drawings to fabrication shop.
  • Update and maintain "Shop Drawing Issuance Log".
  • Review comments and complete asbuilt drawings for turnover packages.
  • Provide layout templates as required.
  • Maintain drawings electronically in applicable job folders.
  • Maintain and update client standard/specifications electronically.

Qualifications:


  • Proficient computer skills in Outlook, excel, office
  • AutoCAD experience/ training
  • Mechanical drafting in an industrial fabrication setting would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of SpoolFab (Acorn Pipe) software would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of ASME/API/CSA codes, material specifications and isometrics.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of fabrication processes and workflows.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team on various projects, producing detailed and assembly drawings.
  • An understanding of dimensioning and shop fabrication practices.
  • Demonstrate thoroughness of details and review of work.
  • Strong organization and motivation skills.
  • Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities/priorities and tasks on a regular basis, in a fastpaced environment.
