About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Director, Community and Rural sites, the Health Services Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to multi-disciplinary teams within a patient-centred, Collaborative Practice Model for patient care.


Working collaboratively and consultatively with patients/clients, families, management, staff, physicians, community partners, and service providers, the Manager applies strategic and analytical thinking to address challenges to achieve the ultimate goal of high quality, safe and cost effective services to better support patient experience/outcome.


The Manager exhibits sound professional judgment and initiative while working within the framework and objectives of the Health Services Program and the Mission and Vision and Strategic Directions of Nova Scotia Health and incorporates into daily practice the Core Competencies and Values of NSH.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a health related discipline
  • Minimum five (5) years recent clinical experience in a position included in this portfolio
  • Minimum five (5) years recent experience in a leadership and/or management position with responsibilities related to program planning, evaluation, human resource and financial management within a unionized environment
  • Master's Degree or Leadership certificate an asset
  • Experience developing and facilitating strategies consistent with the principles of Organizational Health
  • Demonstrated proficiency in program planning, financial and human resource management, oral and written communication and interpersonal effectiveness
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, problem solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, strategic thinking and decisionmaking skills, with the ability to successfully change, adapt, overcome, and cope with unexpected challenges
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships and collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external partners across the healthcare continuum
  • Demonstrated commitment to employee and selfdevelopment and continuous quality improvement
  • Travel may be required
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours:


  • Permanent Fulltime Position; 75 hours biweekly

Compensation and Incentives:

$42.63- $56.64 Hourly
