    TELUS Health is looking for a Manager, Quality and Patient Safety to join the Quality of Care team. Reporting to the Director, Quality of Care you will be responsible for managing a team and providing leadership for clinical quality and patient safety strategies, accreditation, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

    What you'll do

  • You will support the development and implementation of the quality and patient safety strategy to drive continuous improvement, including the monitoring of quality metrics
  • You will work collaboratively with operational and clinical leaders and team members to identify quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • You will oversee the planning, development and implementation of the accreditation strategy
  • You will lead the implementation of quality assurance plans to conduct quality audits and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
  • You will support and oversee the development of the patient-centered strategy
  • You will lead and manage the performance of the quality team and provide coaching and mentorship to support their leadership development
  • You will prepare and present quality reports as appropriate
  • You will foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization
  • Qualifications

    What you bring

  • Extensive experience in clinical quality and patient safety, including strategy development and implementation, equivalent to 10+ years
  • Training on quality or a level of education equivalent to a Master's degree in a health related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of quality improvement methodologies, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in driving change and fostering a culture of safety and continuous learning.
  • Experience in managing accreditation processes and compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills.
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and continuous learning.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of management principles and methodologies, and the ability to coach, mentor team members on these skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Fluency (written and spoken) in English is required
  • Highly comfortable with change and ambiguity and excels in highly collaborative team environments
