ABOUT THE ROLE


The Production Supervisor in the Mixing area is responsible for ensuring that the mixing area is operational during the shift, run effectively and efficiently while maintaining the required safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities will include the training of staff in production methods, safety, policies and procedures.

In the course of their duties, the Mixing Supervisor will complete paperwork and hold responsibilities for the operation of various types of machinery and any necessary assigned work.

Through the effective management of targets, goals and production efficiencies, the Mixing Supervisor will ensure the ongoing success of batches produced.


Job Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Oversee the operation of mixing department in the food processing plant.
  • Manage the mixing process for cookie dough production lines with a handson approach.
  • To supervise employees ensuring recipes are followed as per required production schedule and goals are achieved.
  • Training employees to work in the mixing department as required.
  • Inspects batch mixtures to ensure customer specifications are followed, working closely with standards outlined by Quality Assurance Team.
  • Coordinates and schedules activities of workers.
  • Check and verify production records; reporting KPI's.
  • Closely review performance of employees and discipline/reward them when needed in consultation with Human Resources.
  • Adhering to and enforcing all policies, procedures and programs of the company (GMP, Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety etc) at all times.
  • Other related duties and assigned.

The Person

Pivotal Experience & Expertise

  • 23 years in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Diploma in Food Science or related field

What you get:
$65,000 base salary

3 weeks paid vacation + 4 paid floater days
